The Del Mar office offers ample on-street parking, most of which allows at least 2 hours.  In Del Mar, you can also park in the garage of the Plaza or in the garage of the Hotel Auberge for a small fee.

If you are coming to either San Miguel de Allende or Hilo for an intensive, workshop or other service, your secure parking arrangements will be made for you in advance of your visit.  If you are not driving, our professional private driver can be arranged for your transportation.

We do not accept insurance; however, upon request we will provide a monthly “Superbill” to you for your submission to your insurance company. We do not interact with insurance companies directly, and any reimbursements that may be available to you must be handled by yourself. This is a common practice, and it is particularly useful for individuals who have the option of using “out of network” providers (PPO’s etc).

It is very easy!  Just call us at (760) 634-1704, and we will return your call promptly.  We can often schedule you for the same week.

After we talk by phone or email, you will be forwarded a set of forms to complete. These are very important because it allows us ample opportunity to study and prepare for our time together. Forms include an Intake Form, Symptom Checklist and Treatment Contract. They can be easily completed online and then submitted through our HIPPA-secure client portal.

In Del Mar, we are in the historic Stratford Square building on the corner of Camino del Mar, across from the Plaza, in Suite 220.  The address is 1442 Camino del Mar.

In San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, we are located at our Private & Historic Stone House directly across the street from Parque Juarez in the “Centro.”  This is the hub of the walking District of the City and in easy reach of all this UNESCO World Heritage Site has to offer.

In Hilo, Hawaii, we are located high above Hilo in Mountain View, a tropical jungle compound of Organic farming, flora and fauna set among the verdant fields and natural volcanic wonders.

Mexico requires a current passport that retains at least 6 months of validation before it expires. Hawaii currently requires no more than a current driver’s license, although this is expected to change with the California “Real I.D.” soon to be implemented. Those from other states and countries must research entry requirements to be certain they are authorized to travel.

Be it the Arts, Music, Dance, Culture, Dining, Hiking, Hot-Springing, Off-Roading, Horseback riding and so on, there is a remarkable amount of interesting and fun things to explore while in either location. If interested, our Concierge can design something very special based on your interests and requirements.

Because San Miguel de Allende does not have an airport, travelers should plan to fly into either Queretaro (about 50 minutes by car to San Miguel de Allende) or into Leon (about 75 minutes by car to San Miguel de Allende).

Both of these airports offer easy access via direct flights from various hubs. If you are coming from Southern California, the Cross Border Express USA-MEXICO Border (CBX) is a very convenient way to access a non-stop to either airport. The CBX is a Skybridge that allows ticketed passengers to cross directly from the US into the Tijuana Airport Terminal (highly recommended).

Many international travelers come via Mexico City Benito Juarez International Airport. Aero Mexico offers connecting flights from Mexico City to Queretaro and Leon. Alternatively, some have opted to travel from Mexico City by rental car, private driver or bus.

There may be instances where texting is appropriate, but each therapist has their own specific policies with regard to texting, and you are welcome to broach the subject when you meet with your therapist.  I most cases, a text is returned within 24 hours.  Texting should never be used for emergencies, instead a call to 911 would be most appropriate.

Although there are many factors that go into determining frequency and length of sessions, generally one session of one to one and on-half hours per week works well. There are instances where two sessions per week are advisable. Still, we work with you to find the best comfort zone for your particular needs and interests.

This depends largely on what your treatment goals are. What do you want to accomplish? Are there many competing issues? How focused will you be towards practicing the skills you will learn? Our goal is always to “work ourselves out of a job,” and this means we want to see you progress and move forward with your life, having developed a sense of accomplishment and vision for the months and years ahead.

You can expect to gradually develop relief from your symptoms and a general sense of well being. It is common to feel more confident and have a brighter outlook in general. Those symptoms and anxieties you have identified, and that we are working to gather to alleviate, should gradually disperse. What is important to note is that we will build a set of desired effects and outcomes that we will be working towards achieving so that YOUR interests and needs are met.

Whatever choice you make for your care should be of the highest quality and fit, and whether you work with us or not we want you to have helpful information that can get you on the right road. If you have more questions, feel free to contact us and we will see what we can do to guide you in the right direction.
